- The Events calendar is added to the left or right navigation.
- Events created will automatically appear in the calendar.
- Before you list any dates, set your timezone.
How to set your timezone
- Click Settings in the blue sidebar.
- Select the Display Options tab.
- From drop down menu, choose your time zone.
- Select to use a 12 or 24 hour clock.
How to enable the left or right navigation
- Launch the Homepage Editor.
- Select General Settings.
- Click Side Navigation.
- Tick Enable Sidebar.
- Set Position.
- Select which pages to Show the sidebar on.
- Save and Publish.
How to add the calendar block
- Return to main menu of homepage editor.
- Click Side Navigation.
- Select +add block.
- Next to Events, click ADD button.
- Your calendar will now appear in the Sidebar menu.
- Publish.
How to add/delete an event
- Click My Members in the blue sidebar.
- Select Events from the drop down menu.
- Click Add New Event button.
- Set who can View the event.
NOTE: If you choose 'members only', everyone will be able to see that something is happening on that date but only logged in members will be able to read the full description.
- Enter a Title - to be viewable by everyone.
- Enter a teaser/description - to be viewable by everyone.
- Add all the event details in the Body field. You can include images.
- Set the Event Start and End Dates and Times by clicking on the small calendar pages.
- Enter the Location.
- Click Save.
Viewing the event
- Return to the home page.
- The date will be highlighted on the calendar.
- Click on the highlighted date.
- The event details will expand beneath the calendar.
- Click the Event title to go to the page with the full event details.
