When a member subscribes, there are two 'subscription status' options that might display in the Subscription tab of their account: Trialling or Active.
After the first recurring payment is processed, the status is updated to: Ongoing
Trialling
If you create a subscription plan that includes a free trial period, the subscription status will display as Trialling until the free period is complete. It will then display as Active after the first payment is processed.
If a member upgrades to a more expensive subscription plan, and Credit Subscription Length is selected in the Payment Processor settings, any time remaining on their current subscription will be added before the next payment is taken. The member's subscription status will show as Trialling until that payment is made.
Active
When a member first subscribes, their subscription status will display as Active.
Ongoing
After a member's first recurring payment is processed, their subscription displays as Ongoing.
