All of the course creation tools are consolidated under the Course menu in the blue sidebar.
Here you will start by creating the payment plan and lessons and finally assemble them into a course using the Course Editor.
Courses can be sold individually, as part of a membership and manually assigned to a member or member group.
NOTE: If you plan to sell individual courses, you must segment your subscription content by assigning them to member groups member groups. This ensures that users who purchase courses will not have access to member content when they log in.
How to create your course payment plan
- Click Courses in the blue sidebar to unfurl the options.
- Select Course Plan.
- Click the blue button Create Course Plan.
- Give your course a title.
- Change the Shortname to improve SEO.
- Select the payment frequency of the plan.
- Enter a price.
- Disable Recurring Payment to grant lifetime access for a one time payment.
- Grant Free Trial Days. The user will input their payment details but only be charged after the free trial days expire.
- Apply a Promo Code. This will hide the course until the code is inputted on the enrolment page.
- Select who will be able to enrol.
- Assign access to a Member Group.
- Set Lifetime Access to Yes if user should always have access to the course.
- Enable Email Notification for members to be notified every time a new lesson is released.
- Add Tags so users can search your courses by theme.
- Set the status to Enabled to allow user to enrol.
- And Save.
How to create the individual course content
The individual lessons that make up your course content are created in the Lesson menu.
- Click Courses in the blue sidebar to unfurl the options.
- Select Lessons.
- Click the blue button Add New Course Lesson.
- Enter your lesson title.
- In the Body, add your lesson content. Video, audio and PDFs can all be incorporated as part of the lesson material.
- Add Title and Description Tags for SEO.
- Lesson content must Allow Access to Members Only.
- Click Save and Publish Now.
The same article can be used in multiple drip courses.
How to create & schedule a course
- Click Courses in the blue sidebar to unfurl the options.
- Select the Course Editor to launch the editor where you will create your course pages.
- Select the Course Plan title from the menu picker.
- Select how frequently course material will be delivered: daily, weekly or monthly.
- Enter a brief Course Description.
- Upload a square or rectangular cover image that will represent your course. The image should not exceed 500 pixels.
How to add course content and create course sales page
- Add a Section/Module/Chapter Title and Description.
- Click +Add Articles to add individual lessons.
- Tick the Lessons you want to include and Select.
- Set when the content will be delivered from the drop down menu.
- Reorder the Lessons with the grab handles =
- Remove a lesson by clicking the trash can.
- Click + Add Section to add another chapter/module.
- Repeat process to add lessons.
- Save.
- Publish.
How to schedule lesson delivery
- Next to each Lesson field, click the arrow in the schedule field.
- Assign the first piece of content to Send Instantly.
- Increase the numerical value for each subsequent lesson.
- Add as many sections as required.
- When the course is completed, click Save and Publish Now.
How to add a navigation menu link to the course sale page
- Launch the Homepage Editor.
- Click top navigation layout.
- Scroll to the bottom of Side Bar and click Menus.
- Select Top or Bottom menu.
- Click +add menu.
- Enter the Link Title.
- Set the URL to: /featured-courses
How a user accesses their purchased course
Members will always be able to access their purchased courses using the My Account link in the top navigation menu by clicking the My Courses link from the drop down menu.
Email notification of new content
Members receive email alerts when new drip content is delivered and available to view.
Content scheduled as 'Send Instantly' will be available immediately upon member log in. No email notification is sent in this case.
To craft the notification message, click Settings in the blue sidebar menu, then the Messages tab. In the Drip Content Email field, enter your custom message.
How to disable a course on the sales page
To remove a course from the Featured Course page, find it in the Subscription Plans list and click Edit. At the bottom of the plan page, select Disabled and Save.
How to manually add a user to a course
- Click My Members in the blue sidebar
- Select Member Manager.
- Search for the member.
- Click the Courses tab on the member account page.
- Tick the course to enable access.
- And Save.
How to grant access to a member group
- Click My Members in the blue sidebar
- Select Member Manager.
- Click the blue Manage Groups button.
- Next to the member group, tick the course it can have access to.
NOTE: There is a system delay of one hour before lessons set to "Send Immediately" will be visible to members.
